Mr. Manin Inprom, Vice President, Head of Manufacturing Division of Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC or SSI, represented SSI to receive 3 awards from the project on enhancement of efficiency on management of industrial waste which are prone to have risks on illegal disposal by applying 3Rs & KAIZEN principle (under the expenses on industrial waste management) for fiscal year of 2022 from Mr. Sahawat So-bha, Deputy Director General of Department of Industrial Works. These 3 awards consisted of 1) 3Rs Award, 2) Zero Waste Achievement Award and 3) 3Rs+ Award on reduction of managed waste in category of bronze medal. Such project which has been arranged by the Department of Industrial Works to promote reuse of waste, reduce amount of disposed waste and to build knowledge and understanding of the industrial sectors on industrial waste management of recycle of waste pursuant to 3Rs principle by applying KAIZEN principle to increase potential on usage of waste and in conformity with circular economy. During this event which has been held at the Army Club (Vibhavadi) Bangkok on 8 September 2022, Mr. Manin Inprom, Vice President, Head of Manufacturing Division of SSI, has also been invited to participate in the talk session on “Guidelines on development of utilization of waste residue” to exchange work experiences and provide good management guidelines to the interested entrepreneurs as well as to present the academic assistance format on waste management that the industrial entrepreneurs may need in the future so that the relevant agencies can take them for consideration and operation.
