1990

  • Established the Company with a registered capital of Baht 4,000 million (13 March 1990).
  • Obtained an investment promotion certificate from the Board of Investment for the production of hot-rolled coils (8 August 1990).
  • Established Prachuap Port Company Limited, with the Company holding 51% equity, to operate a deep-sea port business (4 October 1990).

1992

  • Invested in Thai Coated Steel Sheet Company Limited to operate an electro-galvanized steel sheet production business (17 February 1992).
  • Deployed 85 engineers and technical staff to Italy for training and technology transfer (May 1992).
  • Increased registered capital to Baht 4,800 million (October 1992).

1994

  • Increased registered capital to Baht 5,100 million (January 1994).
  • Converted into a public limited company (24 March 1994).
  • Commenced production of hot-rolled coils (HRC) (23 April 1994).
  • Listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (8 September 1994).

1995

  • Received BOI approval to expand production capacity from 1.8 to 2.4 million tons per year (13 March 1995).
  • Invested in Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited (7 June 1995).

1999

  • Established West Coast Engineering Company Limited a 99.99%-owned subsidiary, to provide maintenance, engineering design, and technical services (January 1999).

2003

  • Invested Baht 1,000 million in a hot-rolled coil pickled and oiled (HRC P/O) production line.
  • Invested Baht 3,600 million to expand hot-rolled coil production capacity from 2.4 to 4.0 million tons per year.
  • Received the “Outstanding Industry Award 2003” from the Prime Minister (May 2003).

2004

  • Commenced commercial production of hot-rolled coil pickled and oiled (HRC P/O) (installed capacity of 1 million tons per year) (May 2004).
  • Exported hot-rolled coil pickled and oiled (HRC P/O) for the first time (September 2004).
  • Officially inaugurated the hot-rolled coil pickled and oiled (HRC P/O) plant (October 2004).

2005

  • Completed expansion of hot-rolled coil production capacity production capacity from 2.4 million tons to 4.0 million tons per year (February 2005).
  • Enhanced production capability to achieve hot-rolled steel thickness ranging from 1.0 mm to 19.0 mm (March 2005).

2008

  • Produced high-quality hot-rolled steel sheet in coils with a minimum thickness of 0.80 mm (February 2008).
  • Invested Baht 3,450 million to acquire shares in Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited, resulting in a 50.15% shareholding (26 September 2008).

2011

  • Entered into an agreement to acquire the integrated steelmaking assets (Teesside Cast Products) in the United Kingdom from Tata Steel UK Limited for USD 469 million (24 February 2011).

2013

  • Divested shares in Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited to JFE Steel Corporation and Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc., reducing the shareholding to 35.19% (1 February 2013).

2015

  • Filed a petition for the liquidation of Sahaviriya Steel Industries UK Limited with a local court in the United Kingdom (2 October 2015).

2016

  • Entered business rehabilitation and was appointed as the plan preparer by court order (10 March 2016).

2020

  • Effected the delisting of the ordinary shares of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (11 July 2020).

2023

  • Considered the petition and ordered the termination of the Company’s business rehabilitation pursuant to Section 90/70 of the Bankruptcy Act B.E. 2483, by the Central Bankruptcy Court (13 December 2023).

2025

  • Completed the entire business transfer of Thai Coated Steel Sheet Company Limited to Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Company (1 October 2025).
