Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC or SSI is Thailand’s largest producer of hot rolled steel sheet in coils (HRC), with 4 million tons annual capacity. SSI endeavors to supply premium-grade steel sheets to cater for the region’s growing demand in various sectors such as automobile, energy, transportation and construction sectors. In addition to being a steel company, SSI is also an investment holding and management company, whose mission is to innovate and inspire tomorrow’s solutions, help customers maximize the utility from the convergence of steel, technology, energy, and marine infrastructure, create new businesses, futurize extant businesses, and enrich business capital, and uplift Thai people’s quality of life and lead Thailand’s economy and society to carbon neutrality sustainably. It does so by creating and executing new businesses within the company itself, as well as incorporating them under separate business entities.

SSI invests in joint-venture downstream plants, namely Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Co., Ltd. (TCRSS) – Thailand’s first and largest cold roll mill, and Southeast Asia’s first and largest electro-galvanizing line.

All SSI’s plants in Thailand are located on a world-class coastal industrial site in Bangsaphan, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, 400 km south of Bangkok on the western peninsula of Thailand, a site integrated efficiently with its privately-owned deep-sea port, Prachuap Port Co., Ltd. (PPC), allowing import of raw materials and export of finished products on a large scale.

SSI extends its technological and engineering capabilities into its fully-owned subsidiary, West Coast Engineering Co., Ltd., (WCE), which specializes in engineering, maintenance, spare parts production, fabrication, automation, erection and commissioning service. SSI also participates in the management of other affiliate companies and mutual benefit from the enlarged economy of scale. Together, the SSI Group comprises these companies.
