Mr. Banjong Sukreeta, Secretary-General of Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) together with the management team from TISI, Ministry of Industry, and Mr. Nava Chantanasurakon, President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC or SSI visited the Creative Industry Village (CIV) at Thung Pradoo Village, Tub Sakae Sub-district, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. This village applied the existing local wisdom to build new economic value on innovative industrial concept via tourism activities, such as sand burying to release stress activity base which is the highlight of Thung Pradoo Village. Other activities included traditional Thai massage, knowing rice mill & rice mixture planting and visit Uncle Boon Coconut Farm. The visiting team also had traditional meal lunch of Thung Pradoo Village. Thung Pradoo Creative Industry Village (CIV) is a project driven by the Ministry of Industry with the support of Sahaviriya Steel Group.
Creative Industry Village (CIV) means a village of balance which blends cultural capital and way of life with creativity and design to create new value of souvenir products by the communities for tourism which can bring about new economic value based on the creative industry by building strong foundation of community from the “inside” and developing the community to support the development of products and services in accordance with Thailand 4.0 Strategy Plan. Tourism business by the community will be used as the stimulating tools of community economy in almost dimensions, i.e., on products and services. Operation concepts consist of innovative industry, cultural capital & wisdom and tourism destination by the community.
