Bangsaphan, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand – 24 July 2026 – Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) announced that its Bangsaphan Hot Strip Mill has reached a significant production milestone, achieving 45 million tonnes of cumulative hot-rolled coil output as of 24 July 2026. Since commencing HRC production in 1994, the plant has become Thailand’s largest producer of cumulative hot-rolled coil, underscoring its long-standing contribution to the country’s steel industry
This milestone reflects SSI’s more than three decades of operational excellence and commitment to developing high-quality steel products that meet the evolving needs of key industries, including automotive, energy, electrical appliances, construction, and infrastructure. It also reinforces the Company’s role in strengthening Thailand’s steel supply chain while advancing the industry toward a Green Steel Supply Chain encompassing sustainable raw material sourcing, environmentally responsible manufacturing, clean energy utilization, recycling, and transparent carbon management in accordance with international standards.
