SSI Achieves Milestone of 45 Million Tonnes of Cumulative Hot-Rolled Coil Production, Advancing Customers’ Competitiveness and Sustainability through a Green Steel Supply Chain

Bangsaphan, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand – 24 July 2026 – Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) announced that its Bangsaphan Hot Strip Mill has reached a significant production milestone, achieving 45 million tonnes of cumulative hot-rolled coil output as of 24 July 2026. Since commencing HRC production in 1994, the plant has become Thailand’s largest producer of cumulative hot-rolled coil, underscoring its long-standing contribution to the country’s steel industry

This milestone reflects SSI’s more than three decades of operational excellence and commitment to developing high-quality steel products that meet the evolving needs of key industries, including automotive, energy, electrical appliances, construction, and infrastructure.
