SSI Group Organizes Beach Plogging Event to Mark World Environment Day and World Oceans Day

SSI Group (SSI-TCRSS-BSBM-PPC-WCE) joined forces with the Mae Ramphueng Subdistrict Administrative Organization and the Bang Saphan Fisheries Network to organize the 5th SSI Group Plogging at Mae Ramphueng Beach. Held in celebration of World Environment Day (5 June) and World Oceans Day (8 June), the event aimed to encourage environmental stewardship, protect marine and coastal resources, and strengthen collaboration among the public sector, private sector, and local communities in Bang Saphan District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

The event was officially opened by Mr. Nimit Wongjinda, District Chief of Bang Saphan, and attracted around 600 participants, including SSI Group executives and employees, community leaders, youth representatives, and local residents. Participants walked and ran along a 3.5-kilometer route while collecting litter from Mae Ramphueng Beach. All collected waste was carefully sorted to ensure proper environmental management and recycling.

The waste gathered during the activity will be processed through the 2026 “Clean Province” Community Waste Management Program, operated by the Mae Ramphueng Subdistrict Administrative Organization. The initiative supports recycling, promotes responsible resource use, reduces environmental impacts, and contributes to sustainable community development.

SSI Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to responsible business practices and environmental sustainability. By engaging employees, local communities, and partner organizations, aims to help preserve natural resources and create lasting positive impacts for future generations.
