Mr. Nava Chantanasurakon, Vice President – Commercial, Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Co., Ltd. or “SSI” provided 7 senior project funds on structural steel, each with 10,000 Baht under “Structural Steel Improvement (SSI) for Young Engineers 2017” to the qualified engineering students of Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and Srinakharinwirot University. This program is aimed to encourage the engineering students who will become the engineers or the entrepreneurs in construction industries in the future to develop innovation and knowledge on efficiently and environmental friendly usage of structural steel which can contribute to development of the steel and construction industries and subsequent to the infrastructural industries of the country.
In addition, after the research has been completed, the SSI for Young Engineers Program will provide additional fund of 10,000 Baht and the most outstanding research work which will be decided by the expert committee will receive a fund of 20,000 Baht as a reward.
