Mr. Suphan Mongkolsuthee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) together with Mr. Manin Inprom, Vice President, Head of Manufacturing Division of Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC. or SSI and the executives of the pilot organizations participating in the project jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate towards the expansion of promotion of Carbon Footprint Organization (CFO) in the industrial sectors. Objectives are to verify and certify calculation result of greenhouse gas emission of the organizations in the industrial sectors participated in the project and to strengthen the greenhouse gas emission mechanism in the organization level of the country. In addition, the organizations in the industrial sectors are encouraged to prepare Carbon Footprint Organization (CFO) by analyzing greenhouse gas emission sources from activities of the organization to set target and find guideline to reduce greenhouse gas emission which can lead to reduction of overall greenhouse gas emission of the country. The opening ceremony arranged by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO), Water and Environment Institute for Sustainability, and the Federation of Thai Industries held on April 1, 2021.
