Sahaviriya Group presents 2014 Annual Scholarships for students in Bangsaphan
Sahaviriya Group arranges SVG Annual Scholarships 2014 handover ceremony, the 20th consecutive year, for students from 21 schools in 4 sub districts of Bangsaphan, including MaeRampheung, Kamnerdnoppakun, Pongprasas, and Thong Chai. The purpose of the scholarships is to support local youths who determine to study but face economic difficulties, and bring better life quality to locals. This year Sahaviriya Group presents 199 scholarships, THB 496,000 worth, for elementary-high school students, 4 continuous scholarships for 4 years of Bachelor degree and 4 continuous scholarships under “SVG’s Scholarship for Excellent Education Development (SVG SEED) Program.” The event was presided over by Mr.Siriwut Hemtad, Vice Governor of Prachuab Khiri Khan, and was attended by Mr. Veraj Tharasombud, Bangsaphan District Chief Officer, together with management team and SVG staffs. Moreover, in 2014 Sahaviriya Group encourages its staffs to support educational opportunities for the youths in Bangsaphan, under the project “Tun Nee Phue Nong” (ทุนนี้เพื่อน้อง). The project was well-received, with 36 scholarships, THB 40,500 worth, for the youths in Bangsaphan.
